Scott serves as the Supervisor, Bureau of Loans for the Alabama State Banking Department since March 2003. In this role, he is responsible for the overall management of the Bureau of Loans and the supervision of the licensure and examination function of the Alabama State Banking Department regarding non-depository consumer finance lenders. He serves as the primary contact regarding issues of statutory interpretation, legislation and regulations under the various Acts for which the Bureau has jurisdiction.
Mr. Corscadden is a CSBS - Certified Mortgage Examinations Manager, past member of the NACCA Continuing Education Committee, past member of the NACCA Consumer Education Committee, member of the Auto Finance Committee, member of the Alabama Banking Law Continuing Legal Education Planning Committee and represents the Alabama State Banking Department in its membership of the Conference of State Bank Supervisors, American Association of Residential Mortgage Regulators, and National Association of Consumer Credit Administrators. Mr. Corscadden also presently serves as the Ombudsman for the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) and as a member of the Policy Committee for the NMLS.
Prior to his position as Supervisor, Mr. Corscadden previously served as General Counsel for the Alabama State Banking Department and was an attorney with the law firm of Miller, Hamilton, Snider & Odom in the financial institutions practice group. He holds a B.A. degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a J.D. degree from the University of Alabama School of Law.
Jason is a bank examinations coordinator, certified anti-money laundering specialist for the Alabama State Banking Department. He has been with the Alabama State Banking Department for 12 years and is a safety and soundness examiner in the Community Banking Division. Jason has been conducting BSA examinations for five years. He obtained a BSBA degree from Auburn Montgomery and
completed the Alabama Banking School at the University of South Alabama.
